Stepping back into the arena. Becky Raye Designs is live!

I am thrilled to announce the official launch of my new interior design business, Becky Raye Designs! For those of you who know me well, know this is not my first rodeo with design. Back in 2008 I launched a home staging and design business, bStaged Interiors. If you have the same “oof!” reaction when you see “home staging business” and “2008” that I did, then you know why back then my stint in this industry was a bit short lived. While it started with a lot of success and traction, the crashing housing market also took down my business. While it was a trying time, the last (nearly 15!) years have been full of growth and opportunity building my tech career and most recently in the last 5 years, running dataliteracy.com with my partner in life and business, Ben Jones (which I will continue to do, by the way) – Ben and I thrive in being busy and leaning into ingenuity!

All that to say, what never changed all these years was my deep love and passion for design. It has still been very much the undercurrent of my life and passion and I knew that one day I’d get back to it in a more official way. In the meantime, I’ve been living, breathing and acting as a part-time interior designer in my own personal life with two home renovations as well as assisting friends and family with design needs, remodel support and more. I am a student of life! I read everything I can get my hands on and follow some of the best designers and have great mentors to tap into.

With continuous encouragement from my doting spouse, and even more from friends and family for many years, I’ve made the leap from dreaming to doing and here I am…again! Interior Designer 2.0. Older, wiser, and dare I say better? I figured turning 50 was a great time to lean into something new and fresh, so here I am in my 50th year stepping back into the ring. That’s one thing I can hang my hat on in life – I may be nervous about stepping into the arena, but I do it and have done it time and time again. After months of planning, and preparation, and quieting those ever-present fears, I am excited to open my doors and bring exceptional interior design services to the PNW.

I am so very excited to be taking this next step and can’t wait to design beautiful spaces for others. I believe that a home should be a reflection of your unique personality and a sanctuary where you can truly relax and be your best self. My mission is to transform spaces into beautiful, functional, and inspiring environments that enhance your everyday life.

My Philosophy

My design philosophy is focused on understanding your vision, needs, and lifestyle. What you love and what inspires you and makes you feel your best! Sometimes working with a designer brings anxiety and intimidation. Please know that is not what you’ll find with me. What you will find is someone who listens, is curious and deeply interested in making your design dreams come true. No budget is too small to make a big impact. I will combine aesthetic appeal with practicality, ensuring that every design solution is tailored to you. Whether you’re looking for a complete home overhaul, a single room refresh, or expert advice on color palettes and furniture selection, I am here to guide you every step of the way.
